2 Weeks and 2 Days old!

My first real bath!

I think I like it! Yup! I do!

Hanging out with mom on the couch - all cozy! I almost fit in my pj's!

Sleep?? What's that??? Well I have to say I have been pretty lucky with that. MOST nights she sleeps pretty good and by pretty good i mean she will go about 4 hours at a time. Then I'm up for an hour and then she's out for another 3-4. This isn't every night and the nights she is up, she is UP! This is actually more sleep than I got when I was pregnant!

I must say boy I am glad I am not pregnant anymore! This weather has been awful! I have this awesome stroller that we haven't been able to use yet because it's toooooo hot! So instead we stay inside and get out to go to doctor appointments, Mommy group and Target haha! Been there so many times since she's been born!

Her doctor appointments have been going good and the doctor says she's right in the 50% for weight at 8lbs and for her head size and 45% for length at 20 inches. She almost fits into her 0-3 month outfits haha. So many clothes and so few that fit properly! :) Room to grow!

We are having a great time staying home together though. She makes us laugh with all her goofy faces and looooooves to snuggle. Sometimes she doesn't like to be put down at all but will sleep for 3 hours in your arms. I pulled out my sling and she seems to like it too. I had my arms free to make some food (which is good!) and she slept perfectly! This should come in handy because I am also trying to plan my high school 10 year reunion. Spending a lot of time on the phone or computer is hard but she's such a good baby - we are sooo lucky! :)

39 Weeks, 5 Days ~ Welcome Gracelyn Marie!!!!

1 week old

Wow! So it's been one week and one day since Grace was born and it has been the longest and fastest week of our lives! She is amazing in every way and you never think you can love someone so much!

I could go on and on about labor but I'll leave it at it is what it's called - labor! Hard work but so worth it in the end! I'll sum it up by saying my water broke at 2:15 am Wednesday July 6th, and Grace was born at 7:12 pm. I have the most amazing husband who kept me sane (and reminded me to breathe!) and a wonderful aunt Ann who was our doula who reminded me to open my eyes!

Since we've been home we have been working on figuring out what babies need and working our needs into her "schedule" haha. We have had a few extra doctor appointments for her since she hadn't gained the weight back like she should have but things seem to be better now! She's a very chill baby, doesn'y mind too much. She loves to snuggle and has gotten better about sitting in her swing or rocker when we need to get something around the house done! Everyone is welcome to come on over and hold her anytime you want!!! :)

Having a baby at home has also made me realize I will never bug my stepsister or sister in law to update their blogs hahaha Where does the time go?!?! ;)
