Over the last few months...

Grace and I went swimming for the efirst time in a big pool when her cousins Jack, Alex and Ben came to visit. I'd say she liked it but didn't loooove it. Maybe next time!

She loves her baths though!

Pretty girl :) 11 months old

The new Instragram app on my phone is pretty cool. Lots of fun photo options and seems to take better (faster) pictures than the phone function on my iphone.

Grace;s trip to the zoo with Mom and Dad. She loves to look at all the animals but I think people watches more! Just like her mama!

Watering plants...or running away with the watering can!

LOVES spaghetti! We hide her veggies in it and she eats it right up!

Playing in the green grass...this was early summer!

All pretty for Easter Brunch!

Prince has become very tolerant of Grace! :) She's happy too!

Birthday pedi - July 6, 2012

We went to the Chinooks baseball game! We had so much fun and love to watch baseball under the lights so close to home...and for so cheap! $5 tickets! Wahoo!

mMMM Birthday cake! It had an inch and a half of frosting!

Then we had a sink bath! She had fun!

Easter 2012 - Bunny ears, a stuffed duck and a book!

She loves clothes in a laundry basket! She will sit on the floor and play in clothes. If it is in a basket she will pull everything out one by one and thow them across the floor!

Our first trip to the barns at Aunt Kari and Uncle Chad's farm! Lots of baby cows to see! May 2012

Grace starting sleeping full time (all naps) around 10 months. She just loves to snuggle but has learned to fall asleep on her own in her bed! She sleeps with a baby, a lovie blanket and 3 regular blankets. She loves to be cozy!

Things I Don't Want to Forget:

- Grace has figured out her fingers. When you snap she wiggles her fingers trying really, really hard to do that too!

 - She went to the doctor for her 6 month check up. She weighs 18lbs 1 oz (85th %) and is 26 inches long (55th %).

- She loves being in her jumparoo. She will jump for an hour straight! I think she really loves being on her feet and upright. I have a feeling she will be walking earlier rather than later!

- She likes to blow bubbles in her bottle.

- When she's being silly, she yell one babble really loud, look around and do one more. And one more. I think she likes the sound of her voice!

- She started sitting up at 5 and a half months. She has rollled over before but could care less about it. She likes it on her back and doesn't really care to be on her tummy. She will go from sitting to on her tummy but again would rather be sitting!

- She loves to eat her baby food. The only thing she hasn't gotten into was peas. It's ok. I don't like peas either. She loves pretty much everything else. Especially sweet potatoes and the apple-carrot mix.

- Grace is in LOVE with the cats. She lights up everytime they come anywhere close. She will reach out for them until she tumbles over and they have become much more tolerable of her too. She does have a habbit of ripping out a large amount of hair of theirs when they stay too close! ;)

- She doesn't sleep a whole lot during the day. If you put her on our bed though and lay with her she will sleep a sold 2 hours. She loves to snuggle and be close. She likes to nap nose to nose. I like it too.

- Her favorite toys right now are the bracelet that came in her baby "purse" toy, a giraffe that has different things to play with on each of her feet, her musical puppy toy, a light up ball with soft spikes all over it for gripping and a squeeky panda bear that she got from her Auntie Ann Grauer.

- She's got a boyfriend named Jimmy at the moms group. He really likes her!

 - Grace has 4 bottles a day and 2 meals. By her 9 month appt she will be up to 3 food meals.

- She usually poops twice a day. Just thought you'd like to know.

 - Grace is a ham for the camera. She has learned that when someone holds up a camera phone that she should smile. I probably should get her in a catalog or something. I bet she'd love it.

- My favorite outfit on her right now is the pink super hero shirts she got as a gift from one of my old coworkers at the J. Bat man sirt is hot pink and the super man shirt is light pink. I like to put the tshirts over a long sleeve white onesie. It's pretty cute!

- Grace also loves the beginning to the Big Bang Theory tv show. As soon as it starts she stops what she's doing and stares down the tv. It;'s a catchy tune (I like it too) and there's lots of fashing pictures and lights. I get it.

- Car rides are another favorite. She will talk for most of the car ride before she passes out for the second half.

- She is very tickleish. She has this little grunt laugh before she really gets going and you can get her laughing pretty hard when you tickle around her collar bone and arm pits. It's very cute.

 - She has started to figure out the concept of leaving. She gets very sad when she sees you one minute and you leave the room where she can't see you the next. This must be the separation anxiety the doctor said usually starts around now.

- Besides what is hanging in her closet and in her dresser, I have 4 buckets of clothes. 1 small bucket  newborn size. 1 bucket  0 to 6 months. 1 bucket for 12-18 months. 1 bucket of 24 months and above. There's not much for 12-18 so that's what I'm collecting/buying on sale now. She has quite a bit 24months -2T.

- Her favorite lovie blanket is made by Aden and Anais. Its a small square of muslin cotton which we like since she likes to cover her face when she sleeps with it. Very breathable and light. Just ordered 2 more for back ups when these get lost or too worn!

OK all for now, more Grace memories and updates coming soon!

Grace's First Christmas!

I can't begin to say how much Ryan and I appreciate all the wonderful gifts that everyone got Grace! We had the best first Chirstmas with her and loved that she was big enough to sit on the floor with us and did really well opening gifts! Although it may be because she LOVES paper and ripping paper - it was still amazing! It was a great first memory for all of us so thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We love you all!

More Coming Soon!

Now that posting more blogs and less pics at a time is working better, I will post more pictures that I have taken tomorrow! Night!

Mya's 2 year old Pictures

I could have chosen 100 pictures of Mya. She's so pretty and the day we took pictures at Klode park was beautiful! Mya was not in my class but a family from the JCC who saw photos I took outside my class and asked me to take her 2 year old pics.

Makhija Family Pictures

This family was also in my class at the JCC. They moved to India in October and begged me to come with as their nanny. If only.... :)

Cottingim Family Pics

This family was special to take pictures for. The older girl was in my Milestones class 3 years ago and I met her newborn brother. He was then in my class at the JCC as a 2 year old! The dad was diagnosed with bone cancer and they wanted pictures taken of him walking and playing with his kids becuase he was scheduled to have surgery the next month and may not be able to walk ever again. Good news is he is walking with support but still battling cancer and all the ailments that come with treatment. Wonderful family!
